Jennifer Eick-Jakiela LCSW, LSCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (MO) and a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (KS). Jennifer graduated with her Masters of Social Work from University of Kansas School of Social Welfare Edwards Campus in 2007. Since then, Jennifer has worked with a wide range of populations in mental and behavioral health. Jennifer has experience working with clients with a variety of symptoms and diagnoses, including Anxiety, Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Chronic Stress and Trauma. Jennifer is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has a passion for helping clients work through traumatic experiences and dissociation. Jennifer also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Strategies, Parts Work and other Ego State Therapy, Dialetical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and Family Systems Theory.
As a therapist, Jennifer's philosophy is rooted in a deep commitment to fostering healing and empowerment for clients. Jennifer believes in creating a safe and empathetic space where individuals can explore and process their past traumas, allowing them to integrate these experiences and move towards a more resilient and balanced future. Her approach is client-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed, recognizing the unique journey each person undertakes. She is dedicated to utilizing EMDR therapy and other techniques as a powerful tool to facilitate the reprocessing of distressing memories, enabling clients to unlock their innate potential for self-discovery, growth, and lasting transformation.
Jennifer is in-network with United Healthcare and Medicare insurances. Jennifer is Trained and Certified in the Safe and Sound Protocol. Jennifer offers both in-person and teletherapy services during the day and in the evenings at our West Plaza office. She is currently accepting new clients.
